One of the primary ways archival documents are utilized is through public display at exhibitions. Exhibition activity is a long-standing tradition at the National Archive of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Each year, the National Archive successfully hosts historical-documentary, historical-artistic, and thematic exhibitions, as well as information-sharing events. These are often timed to coincide with scientific and practical conferences, seminars, roundtables, and the presentation of new documentary or reference publications.
Why Our Exhibitions Are Unique
Thanks to collaboration with other archival institutions, the displays organized in our exhibition hall are unique in their content. They differ from traditional archival or art museum exhibitions by blending:
- Original archival documents and unique photographs (often displayed for the first time).
- Museum artifacts and objects that provide a more comprehensive and engaging look at each theme.
